Yes! Absolutely. If you let us know you need some help in advance and when you will arrive, we can ensure our 4 wheel drive buggy is kept available to help with your luggage.
Can we bring dogs?
For Campers and Glampers, I’m afraid not. This is to reduce the impact of wildlife and nesting birds. However, if visitors are coming just for the day for a walk around the farm, they are welcome to bring dogs, but they must be on a lead at all times.
How many people can a pitch accommodate?
Each pitch is for 4 adults and 4 children.
Can we light campfires?
Each camping pitch has its own firepit so please do light one using this. If you’ve bought disposable BBQs, you an also use these, just please take the rubbish home with you afterwards. The bits of metal left behind can do damage to both wildlife and our lawnmower!
Can we bring a Caravan or motorhome?
No, as we are a nature focused campsite we can only allow tents. This is also to ensure the field remains a safe environment for children to run around and to keep the views from all parts of the farm as vehicle free as we are able.
Can we play music?
We ask campers not to play any music or play instruments, and also to keep noise to a minimum after 10:00pm.
Can we bring a drone?
If you would like to bring a drone, please do call a member of our team first and we can talk about when would be a safe time to fly it and where.
Can we book as a group?
To keep the campsite a peaceful place, we ask that no more than 2 pitches be booked for a group.
Are there rules on tent size and colour?
Absolutely not! In fact we gave a special award last year to a camper who came with a wonderfully bright patterned tent!
Can we buy food on the farm?
We encourage guests to shop for food and drink before you arrive. We do have a small onsite shop with tea and coffee, milk, bread, bacon, and frozen sausagaes, but it is also first come first served. There are two great farm shops nearby: Washingpool and Felicity’s and both are open until 5pm Monday – Saturday.
Is there a minimum stay?
For the glamping it is a 2 night minimum stay, but the camping can be just for 1 night – although we can guarantee you will want to stay longer!
What is the earliest I can arrive?
The arrival times are 2pm for campers and 3pm for glampers. This is to ensure we have time to clean and get everything ready for you following the previous guests departures. You are more than welcome to come early though and make use of our Barn and farm walks.
What is the latest I can arrive?
We ask for guests to try and arrive before 7pm so that we can greet you and talk you through the farm. However, if you are running late please do let us know and we can make a plan for your later arrival.
What is the check out time?
For campers it is 11am, and glampers is 10am. Please ensure you are able to stick to this as we will need to do a changeover for the next guests and the prompt timing really helps. If however, you would like to request a later checkout, do ask and we can let you know if it’s possible or not.
Is there a pub we can walk to?
There are a few that are within walkable distance and all the details are in our electronic handbook. But the nearest is the Shave Cross inn. This is a 25 minute walk along the road or 40 mins walk across fields. We have QR codes that will give you a map to here, the Ilchester Arms in Symondsbury and the Anchor Inn at Seatown.
How far is the sea?
There are a number of local beaches, Charmouth is just 15 minutes away and Lyme Regis is 20 minutes
