"The most peaceful and beautiful setting..."

“We recently returned from camping at Coppet Hill with our family and we couldn’t praise everyone involved enough. Before we even arrived Ellen arrange for us to move campsite location due to a recent injury and subsequent mobility issues my husband was facing. The facilities are excellent, the barn provided lots of entertainment for the children in the unfortunate English weather with a pool table, ping pong and other games. The day room provided showers, washing up facilities and power for charging phones etc. The whole family were welcoming, friendly and really enthusiastic about the farm, from farmer George taking us on a tractor trailer ride and explaining about their vision going forwards to Ellen running moth club and explaining to the children all about the different types of moths they find on the farm. I would highly recommend Coppet hill particularly for family’s with kids. There is so much to do that even if the weather doesn’t play ball they will still have an amazing time.”

"Just returned from a week in the quiet camping field at Coppet Hill, and I didn’t want to come home! It was an amazing week - the pitches are large and offer privacy, with your own compost toilet, picnic bench, water tap and fire pit/BBQ . There are various activities that the site put on over the week, such as the tractor trailer tours of the farm and moth club, plus the wild swimming and various nature walks. The facilities were great - large shower rooms (suitable for our family of 4 to very comfortably fit in) with decent showers that you can control the temperature, fridge and freezer available as well as some charging points. There is a great barn area with a well stocked shop and the staff team are so incredibly friendly and helpful. The site is in a great location for exploring Dorset and is so beautiful, pure peace and nature. We saw so much wildlife. An absolutely amazing week, would definite return if we come back to Dorset and highly recommend. Thank you so much"

"We had a wonderful 5 nights camping at Coppet Hill with our young sons. This is the best campsite we have ever been to. There are beautiful far reaching views, plenty of space in our secluded pitch with tap and our own compost toilet which was cleaned daily, firepit and picnic table. We enjoyed the nature walks up to the trig point with views down to the sea, the tractor trailer ride and learning about the re wilding projects on the farm, moth club, and the bank holiday BBQ held in the barn. They even served wine from a local winery which was delicious. The shower facilities in the Old Dairy were very spacious with every detail thought through and Ellen and Pippa are so friendly and eager to help at every opportunity. We will be back!"

"We've just come home from an incredible stay at Coppet Hill, staying in the quiet camping field. We stayed for 6 nights and it wasn't long enough! There isn't a single negative thing I could think of to say. The welcome you get is wonderful and the facilities are spotless and well equipped. The views are breathtaking, the whole site is an abundance of nature! We've seen deer, hare, birds of pray and even a shooting star! We were very sad to leave and won't hesitate to book another holiday! Thank you for sharing your bit of paradise with us!"

"My wife and I had the most relaxing 6 days at Coppet Hill. It is a lovely and peaceful place to stay which we needed. We saw so much wild life including barn owls and kestrels, A real gem of a campsite, making it a perfect delightful stay. The family who run the farm are just so friendly and helpful especially Ellen, which made us feel very welcome. We plan to return soon"

"We’ve just come home from a couple of nights on this stunning regenerative farm. We took our own tent. The pitch was a really nice size with its own compost toilet and enough space to play games and toast marshmallows on the fire pit. Lots of lovely birdsong and some pretty sunsets too. This is a really special place to camp and felt at times almost magical. Highly recommended!"

"I just wanted to drop you a quick email to say thank you for providing such a beautiful, peaceful and well thought out campsite. We loved our stay on Nuthatch pitch just over a week ago, although we were spoilt by the amazing weather. The campsite was voted the 'best campsite ever' by our 7 year old - and we agreed - from the very well maintained and clean compost toilet on our pitch to the immaculate shower rooms, from the brilliant shop and games area to the firepit & bench provided on the pitch."

"We had the most incredible time at Coppet Hill. Ellen, Pip and their family are so friendly and accommodating and they’ve created a true camping gem. The campsite and surrounding countryside is beautiful and we had the best time. Brilliant for kids too as their barn has lots to do. Thank you for having us and definitely see you again soon!"

"We loved staying in the Little Coppet Landpod, it was very comfortable, snuggly and cosy the children loved it, my husband and I all loved it! The views are amazing across to Lyme bay, we saw some shooting stars whilst sitting around the fire pit. The site is very private and had everything you could ask for!"

"A gem of a campsite. Very spacious pitches with composting loo and individual drinking water supply, beautiful location with rolling hills in every direction. Great comms beforehand. Large barn with activities for wet days. Recommend a walk to the Shave Cross Inn. We had a great Sunday lunch there, good beer and there's a free skittle alley. Campsite is quiet and strong eco-focus from owners in how they run and are developing the site."

"A wonderful campsite near the Dorset coast. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The pitches are spacious and other facilities great. The barn has a pool table, table football, honesty shop and information. The shower block is clean, and the water is hot. Great walks to the coast, local pubs etc. We will be back again."

"Cannot fault the location and warm welcome at Coppet Hill, we had a wonderful 6 night stay here and would highly recommend it. We stayed in the gorgeous Lotus Belle tent - a real treat, total seclusion in the most peaceful and beautiful setting for sunsets and star gazing. We stayed as a family of 4 and our children (9 and 7) absolutely loved the experience, it suits families very well - but I can imagine would be amazing for a couple! It’s close to so many places for exploring the Dorset coast (most within 15-30min drive away) but also has great nature trails and good local pubs all within walking distance - and we were lucky enough to be there for a Sunday night BBQ which was great to meet some of the other guests. A real gem and we hope to return."

"Beautiful family run farm in the perfect location for Jurassic coast beaches and each pitch well situated and spaced away from others. Ellen and her family lovely hosts, very welcoming and helpful. Sunflower maze great fun and lots of wildlife to see and hear. Would love to return next year, kids didn't want to leave. Highly recommended!"

"We were met with a genuinely warm welcome which was a really nice way to start. The owners explained the few things we needed to know and we used the trolley provided to go set up. We had 2 pitches for 3 tents (5 adults, 5 kids) which was just right. We did all our cooking on the fire pit provided (logs are available to buy). The space between the pitches is very generous so it feels very private and the whole experience is very quiet and laid back. It's a very outdoors place and the highlight for my kids was the first ever "Owl Prowl". We met at the barn at 8.15 pm and went for a long evening/night time walk looking for anything wildlife and especially owls. We were lucky to see a barn owl and some hares. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the local wildlife. Overall an excellent 4 nights and would highly recommend to anyone who likes it quiet and eco friendly but with good basic facilities."

"Every detail with this campsite has been carefully thought out - from the pitch size and distance between them, to the compost toilet, tap, picnic bench and firepit on each one. The shower block is lovely and the individual showers roomy, and there's a very welcoming barn you can hang out in during bad weather, as well as some nature trails to explore - and a field of sunflowers. The owners were also friendly and welcoming. We were only there for two days, and the weather wasn't great but it was a really lovely break. We loved it, and would definitely come back."

"Run by a warm welcoming family who make you feel at home in the gorgeous setting of their dramatic rolling landscape. We stayed on Black cap pitch and the whole site provided an idyllic stay with plenty of privacy. Each pitch has its own water tap and private composting loo which is a lovely touch especially if taking little ones. They have a great space in an old dairy building with hot showers and a communal area for washing up and power points for hair dryers/phone chargers etc. Also on site is a little shop providing all the basics and community area with table tennis/pool/table football. A great space for kids to explore and have fun. Whilst the facilities are brilliant the walks and scenery of the 600 acre site really makes Coppet Hill feel special. There is a gorgeous sunflower field and endless walking opportunities that will suit experienced hikers and families with little kids. When you want to explore the local areas the coastlines are a short drive away with plenty of day trip options. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you for having us!"
